Hello,
so I have three computers in my laptops, one desktop and two laptops one of which is new. the old laptop and old PC have had a problem on you tube over the past few days. Basically when I press full screen the screen goes blank (either white or black) and then goes really slow!
Same thing happens if i try and stream movies/programmes on tvlinks and other streaming sites.
Help!
p.s the newest laptops fine

Hi Liverpoolfc8,

Try this exercise:

Right click on the video, click on settings. Uncheck the box, where says hardware acceleration. See if that has any results for you.

hey, i've googled it and tried that. hasn't worked. any other suggestions?

Hi,

Could you follow the exercise below, to me it sounds like a possible driver issue for the video card, kind of weird it occurs across 2 computers though. How long have you had that issue, did it suddenly occur on both older computers? Lets do the thing below on one of the older computers and post the results please.


Please download MiniToolBox http://download.blee...MiniToolBox.exe and run it.

Checkmark following boxes:

  • List last 10 Event Viewer log
  • List Installed Programs
  • List Users, Partitions and Memory size
  • List Devices (Only Problems)

Hello,

Sorry for delay here, first off your computer is somewhat outdated Service pack 2, Java, Abode, there's a P2P Program on here too Frostwire that's a magnet for Malware. Your event log shows you're having an issue up dating the computer with windows up dates, so there is a lot going on here just reviewing a small log. Can you visit the windows up date page an install all up dates including Service Pack 3 for XP for a start.

Hey,
so sorry to sound stupid, but I typed in windows update in google? anyway it said cannot update as need to use internet explorer, i'm using Chrome.
I updated using the small icon next to the time on the botton right hand corner if that helps?

Yes you will need to use Internet Explorer on the windows up date page, windows up date Icon should be in your Start Menu or control panel, visit the page and it will scan your computer, Let us know what errors you get if any.
