System Error 5, Access Denied

i was in cmd prompt trying to make another user so i typed in "net user ike /add". then it said "system error 5 access denied". i am the administrator and i have opened it from typing in cmd in run, searching cmd in start down in the corner, and have right clicked and selected "use as administrator". it deosnt work in any of those three ways.how do i fix this?

why are you trying to use cmd prompt to add a user instead of thru the user accounts in the control panel...

Hi dbaro,

Are you working on a computer inside a domain or in a workgroup?
The net user command will only work on a workgroup configuration.

I was just interested in cmd and what you can do with it. I just started to play around with it.
