I can't access my hotmail account

Every time I try to access my hotmail it tells me that my password is incorrect, it is now clear that I have been blocked out of my account. I have filled in a verification survey which came back negative. I have created a new gmail account but it is imperative that I can access my old hotmail account as it holds some very important information regarding my university. Can somebody please help?
