I upgraded a laptop's hard drive. Everything went smoothly EXCEPT the wireless is now not connecting. In properties, windows XP tells me it is working but it doesn't show up as a connection in networks. What can I check? I have reinstalled the driver several times.

You need to install the wireless driver most likely. You can get it from http://support.dell.com
