Hello, I had made format at the above latpop, and since then I cannot install graphics card drivers...
The model is HP Pavilion G6 1021sv. I have tried this model's drivers, and others, but...
I downloaded the AMD software, which searches which card is installed and download the driver, but nothing...
I searched for several days, HP Pavilion have such problems, but I cannot find a solution...

Hi,

Please post the Operating System installed?

Didn't the laptop include some partition on the HDD to Restore to Factory defaults?

Hi,

Did you use the driver from AMD or the driver available on the HP site for that specific laptop?

Please execute these steps:
- Start -> On the Search box write -> devmgmt.msc -> click devmgmt.msc on the list
- expand Display Adapters
- right click on the display adapter (probably is named something ending with (VGA)) and select Properties
- switch to tab Details
- on the Property box choose Hardware Ids
- select all the lines on the Value box and Copy & Paste to your reply

Hi,

The device ID's you post aren't for your graphics card, make sure use click on the graphic card device before selecting Properties.

Thanks.

Firstly, we apologise that you have been left without a response, from your last post, for some six days until my colleague has managed to reply.

We appreciate that this is a little too long, but we are all volunteers and Geeks to Go is our hobby, and we have of course the responsibilities and commitments of general life.

What my colleague, and you are in good hands with SleepDude, is saying is that the PCI/VEN identifiers you have posted are for the INTEL HD graphics, , but what we really need is those details from the AMD display adaptor

These appear to be the drivers for the laptop in question

but please check with my colleague.

Oh man... the dog ate through the recharger cable? That's not something we hear about every day!

You'll find a good number of laptop spare parts providers online, I recommend to get a genuine HP adapter to suit your laptop if you can.
