Windows Explorer stopped working whenever I look my files on hard driv

this will fix your issue with the bad files that sfc can't fix...
best practice is to back up any data you can't live without just for safety's sake

Win 7's no-reformat, nondestructive reinstall

Can you attach the sfc log ?

Just type this in command prompt

notepad c:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log

and press ENTER

Save the log file to desktop and attach the file here

Entered the command, the log opened and a popup comes up "access is denied", tried to open it manually too, same. Do i need to change the privileges?

It's 14.5 MB, unable to post this as attachment or as text, it just will not load, erm, is there like a cloud or sth where I could upload and you could get it from there?

Launch it and copy this script

PINTLGB.IMD

Click on LOOK,post the generated log

Uninstall ASUS webstorage appliance from add or remove programs,restart the PC and let me know if you still have explorer issue.

This is common issue on Asus systems.PINTLGB.IMD is corrupted.Possible fix is to replace the file or to uninstall asus webstorage appliance.
