Last couple days W7 tells me it has downloaded 3 updates and I have to reboot to install them. I do and it tells me updates have failed and it is reverting to the old system.
I did a search and someone suggested loading them manually. I turned off automatic and did manual. There are 9 updates; thought maybe that is why the 3 failed. It will not let me do one; it is all 9 or none.
I do all nine and it fails again.

What do I do? My last successful update was 8/15. For the moment I have updates turned off, but know they should be done.

I ran MS's FixIt, but it didn't fix.
I CAN check all and then uncheck all but one. Is it safe to do that and try to install one at a time, or does the order matter?

I did the lowest numbered one first and it went.
I tried to do the next one, but it wouldn't allow me to do just one; all or none.
So I did all, and they went. Go figure.

Thanks.
