I would like to connect

SONY SSRG440 stereo system (manual- http://www.docs.sony...ase/SSRG440.pdf or http://esupport.sony...als#/manualsTab)

TO MY

Samsung DLP HL-S4226w tv (http://www.samsung.c...oduct/HL-S4266W)

I want to connect the stereo to the tv because we like to crank the volume up when we play Halo, N64, or when we watch the OAR and Dave Matthews concerts. I know it's not the greatest sound system or tv set but it will work just fine.

I tried connecting it with a RCA/3.5mm cable (http://www.iphoneclu..._av_tv_lead.jpg) by plugging the red yellow and white end into the 'GAME INPUT' on the front of the stereo system and the 3.5mm jack to the back of the tv in the 'AUDIO' slot. That didn't work, but the cord works fine because I tested it with my samsung fascinate phone's music player. If yall have any suggestions please let me know!

THANKS!
