Can you explain more what you mean? How does your Administrator password get involved in a IE Add-on?
What exactly are you doing and what is the exact error message? If needed, post a screen shot.
How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums (says it's for Vista but also works with Win 7).
Once you have the image saved, click on the Paperclip Icon next to the Smiley Icon. In the Manage Attachments window, click Browse and navigate to where you saved the image and select it.
Click the Upload button.
Close the Manage Attachments window.
Click on the Paperclip Icon again and select the image you uploaded. It will be placed in your post.

I was trying to run the Internet Connectivity Evaluation Tool from Microsoft. And a window appeared
saying "A Program needs your permission to continue" I entered my Administrator password and it said
Logon Failure -unknown user name or bad password. The program was called IGDToolx.

I just downloaded and ran it on my Win 7 Pro X64 system and it did not ask for a password. Try disabling UAC before running it. You can enable it again when done if you want.

I logged on as an Administrator and was able to run the test.

Glad to hear it, and thanks for letting me know.
