Now, myself being one of the people with a AMD FX CPU (FX 4100 Black Edition) I know how much of a ballache it is to not be able to play certain games without the PC crashing due to a clock interval skip.

I have a friend with this problem and we talked about it a lot during college, luckily, yesterday he sent me a link to an application which fixes this issue.

http://www.mediafire...unuohgu8m7oji56

I promise you the link is safe. All you need to do is extract the contents of the folder to wherever you like and you will be given 2 applications and a config file which are: Orochi-CEG, RW and the RW Config file. You only need to run the Orochi-CEG application. A command prompt box will load telling you that it is a temporary fix or you can update your BIOS to fix the issue all together. Click any key to continue and bang, we can now play any games we couldn't previously.

Have fun gaming!

i have a fx 6100 had it since november 2011 had a major problem playing saints row 3, deus ex revolution, batman arkhams (both games) combat arms to name but a few after 1 years hunting for a bios update for my £20 board i started to realize that maybe this board isnt gonna get patched so i started looking for other fix's then i found this file not on this site tho i diff 1 and soon as i tried it IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY the site i found it on was for steam users and it was uploaded on the 31/1/2012 2 months after i got this processor aaarrrrrghhhhhhhh its safe to say now that this processor is now recomendable and that im sorry for few dozen people that if put of but amd shoulda fixed this problem at factory instead they blamed other hardware vendors and let them deal with it aka steam. anyways heres another place to d/l this file.. https://hotfile.com/...hi-CEG.zip.html

We get a little suspicious / leery of random files posted here. A little bit more documentation would be nice.

ok, so I can verify that this file will fix the issues between the hardware and Valve / CEG game protection. I would first highly recommend that you check to see if your motherboard has a bios update as the first step. It seems in most cases this will resolve the issue. However, as uJeed420 pointed out that not all motherboards maintain good support over time. Even after updating (or if no updates available) and you still have the issue, then I would recommend this fix as a work around solution.

This fix is only temporary and must be reapplied after system reset (power off/on, restart, power cycle as various terms for the same thing).

Full documentation on the fix and issues surrounding it can be found here: http://www.xtremesys...Bulldozer-issue

thanks for clearing that up. it now seems my vendor hasnt forgotten about my cheap version gigabyte m68mt-s2 and im just blind as i found a bios update from 4/6/2012 so im hoping this is a perm fix although i havent tried it yet myself and i hear not all worked im not worried tho cause i kno now ive got a fix. i also wanted to add to this post that after i installed this fix i quickly noticed during frapsing sessions in nearly all my games the fps never drops at all specially during pro evolution 2013 were before patch the game fps fluxuated between 15-60 fps i also noticed this in far cry 3 these are the only 2 games ive been frapsing in since patch but im gonna take a guess and say this patch helps the processor in all games not only the ones with valve ceg i think it might even help fraps itself magical file whoever made it thanks to no end.

ok i can confirm that the bios update for my m68mt sp gigabyte board solved lag issues with saints row 3, batman arkham city and deus ex human revolution however it seemed to make the lag issue in combat arms more noticeable which is alot of lag take my word for it so i used this orochi ceg file and checked it again and its happy days cause theres no lag issue with combat arms using this file so the bios fixed the problem with ceg games but this orochi ceg file fixed the lag in combat arms and combat arms eu dosent use valve c.e.g. or maybe they do but dont kno it cause im talking about nexon here anyways this is my problem but im sure its cause of my build or maybe its just hard to find a compatibl board for these processors full stop.
