I didn't have the windows xp h.e. Installation disk but a valid serial number so i downloaded it and burned it to a disk for installation. Is that what's causing all of these problems?

I wil stand corrected but as far as I am aware, there is NO legitimate authentic download of XP available.

There are many places online to download Windows XP but none that are legal. Windows XP is not distributed online so there is no legitimate way to download Windows XP, even from Microsoft. No matter where you find it, any XP download you come across online is likely illegal.
AND especially so, if it requires neither a product key or activation

I have my own serial number. As rshaffer said, it's on the bottom of the laptop. All I downloaded was just the installation disk itself. I downloaded it from cnet or another like site, burned it to disk, installed on laptop and typed in serial number from bottom of laptop.

By chance do you have a external USB device connected like a hard drive or flash drive?

I was able to correct the storage issue. Still can't figure out the video controllers. The internet seems to have fixed itself. I left the laptop on overnight and now all of a sudden it can connect lol weird.

The video driver is a tricky one since there could be different drivers for the same system. If you have all of them you can try deleting or uninstalling those two and rebooting. See if it will find them then.

Nothing seems to be helping right now. Should i install BIOS? It's the last driver that I didn't try to install because it looks pretty serious. Maybe not having it is causing the problems?

Just make sure it gives you the option to backup your present bios just in case.
