I dont know what I did but the startup of my pc has changed and I would like to change it back to what it was. I am running winxp and when I startup my computer I press the power on and the welcome screen comes up and then the bios screen. To go on I have to hit f1. The way it used to start was for me to hit the power on and it would go on andstar windows and end up at the desktop. How can I restore what I had? Thank you

Hi,

Your computer its probably showing some error on boot and asking to press the F1 key to continue.
Before pressing F1 try to locate any error message on the screen and copy the text to your next post (or take a picture and attach).

With the error message we can search for a solution...

Also, go into BIOS Setup (often by pressing F2) and check the date and time. If it's wrong then your CMOS battery needs to be replace. It's a small, quarter sized CR2032 battery. Usually runs around $2.50.
