When do you see this error?

From what I can find it's related to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dll that is needed for projects built with Visual Studio

See if anything there helps.

Copy the dll file to program folder and see it works.

add it to system32 folder ,restart the PC and see if it helps

If you still have issues, press windows+R key and type

cmd and click ok and run these commands

cd c:\windows\system32
regsvr32 msvcr100d.dll

and then try to launch the application

Have you tried a system restore prior to the issue?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

Try the earliest point you have. :)

I would have suggested system restore if game was working before or file was missing. This is not the case here

What is the exact error you receive? Is that msvcr100D.dll or msvcr100.dll?
