originally when I tried to start the program it couldnt find the msvcr100d.dll
Ive added that dll into the system32

now the box pops up with error box Run a dll as an app error and I click on "see what data this error report contains:
Error signature: Appname :rundll32.exe modname : xvidns.dll

Im thinking the problem is a corrupted rundll32.exe ??

Is xvidns.dll in system32? If not then seems it's missing as well.

Time to run sfc /scannow from a Command Prompt. You will need a XP Install CD if problems are found.

Do not touch rundll32.exe.It is a system file.Every dll needs a executable file(rundll32.exe )to run.

now the box pops up with error box Run a dll as an app error and I click on "see what data this error report contains:
Error signature: Appname :rundll32.exe modname : xvidns.dll
