just recently in the past few days, my computer has been running very slowly. I actually have to boot in safe mode with networking enabled just to be able to open a web browser. also, i have noticed something called funmoods which has been set to my homepage for some reason also recently. when i try to search the web (ex. google) it brings me to a search page that is www.funmoods.com....etc

i do not know what i have done recently different or have downloaded that may have brought this into my computer but i would really appreciate any assistance that could help me remove this from my computer.

I just got my computer about 6 months ago and it was working fine up until just the past few weeks.

I am running windows 7 64bit, with a 250gb SSD hard drive, 8gb of ram. if you need any other info please just ask and i will be happy to provide with anything else that is needed for a proper job to be done.

thank you in advance for all your help, i look forward to hearing from anyone.

hi

Download OTL to your Desktop
  • Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
    Posted Image
  • Select All Users
  • Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    %systemdrive%\$Recycle.Bin|@;true;true;true
    /md5start
    services.*
    explorer.exe
    winlogon.exe
    Userinit.exe
    svchost.exe
    qmgr.dll
    /md5stop
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\BITS /s
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
  • Click the Quick Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Post both logs

i just have a quick question not really related to this virus removal, but still related to my computer. I see everywhere including in the C drive total GB that I have 218 total GB. when i bought the computer i was under the impression that the computer was to come with a 250 gb SSD. is this normal or did i get screwed over by dell. i was given the choice between like 750 gb 5200 rpm and this 250 gb ssd. i decided to pick the 250 gb option even tho it costed more b/c i do not have a need for all that space and i like speed more than space in my harddrive. i am just confused as to why it is only 218 instead of the 250 i thought it would be. i understand that windows and normal preloaded software takes up space, but it is only at 218 max. the preloaded software and windows actually tkes away from the already reduced 218.

just an update on how my computer is running, as of last night it was running a lot smoother. i am actually able to open a web browser and use the internet without being in safe made. but for some reason again this morning when i used the computer it was starting to be a little slow again. i remember when i first got the computer it was so fast it was almost like it was able to predict what i was going to do next and do it b4 i could even click the mouse to tell it what to do (thats an over exaggeration of course, but i think it gets my point across about how fast the computer actually was). it is better however then when we first started, but i do not think it is up to par with how it should be or could be running.

here are the 2 scans you asked for.
