I backed up my computer, system image and all, on an external hard drive.
I'm trying to recover but i get the message:

"Failed to Restart the computer

Windows cannot restart the computer into the windows recovery environment to complete the recovery operation. "

I tried it in safe mode but no luck there. I'm trying through "recovery->advanced recovery methods"
I will appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thank you for your time.

Welcome to Geeks to Go

How please are you trying, from the DVD or from the F8 menue advanced boot options - repair your computer and then recover

What please is the O/S eg windows 7 professional, Vista Home Premium etc.

If the hard drive in the computer is itself failing the you need to consider that, so what please is the reason for the attempted recovery
