Hi we live in Ireland and use eircom broadband. The landline (telephone point) is in the lounge and we have run a cable from this to our son's bedroom. There is a telephone / broadband splitter on the end of the cable in my sons room. The house phone (cordless) base station is plugged into the telephone port of the splitter and the eircom modem is plugged into the broadband port. My son's computer is then connected directly to the modem. The other computers in the house have a wireless connection using the same modem. Our problem is everytime anyone uses the phone we lose the internet connection which drives our son to absolute distraction if he happens to be gaming at the time. This happens if we make a call or receive and answer a call. It does not happen if the phone is ringing but not answered. Eircom have chacked the line and said it is not their prolem and that the problem is with our system in the house.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Are there filters on all the phones in the house?

Also, eircom should be able to help you with this problem.
