printer problems

my printer is not working. it says RPC server is unavailable also print spooler service is not running. How do I fix this?

How full is your hard drive? If it is full (like less than 1GB free space) then this is not enough for essential services to run. You will need to either upgrade to a bigger hard drive, or clear out some space.

Press Windows+R key and type

services.msc and click ok

Stop both

Remote procedure call and printer spooler services.Start them again.

See if that helps

Troy, have just under 6GB of free space any other ideas

If stopping and starting them again doesn't help (as narenxp has posted) then you'll have to clear out space or upgrade.

found problem - spooler exe. was not there. copied it from my window xp cd and that solved the problem.

Wow that is a major issue and I would be very concerned as to why it went missing in the first place.

Is everything else running OK?
