"Weather" app IS a pop-up

I used to keep one of those "weather updates" little programs, along with my KATU news updates little programs---When I tried to go surfing, I got beaten up so bad by pop-ups that I'd get disgusted and shutdown and go to bed. When I opened up my editor and actually LOOKED AT what I had, I found out that those harmless little applications that keep us informed "up to the minute" also serve as a gateway for pop-ups. If you really look at the code, you'll see that these little helpers are actually pop-ups themselves, linked to the daily news or weather, or whatever. So get rid of the "little helpers" and put a bookmark on your weather page of choice instead. That was what worked for me...
