1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
2. Restart your computer.
3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
System Restore will now be active again.
This will clear all restore points and hopefully then set a fresh restore point. The problem may be one of the restore points is corrupted which causes all of them to not work. Clearing everything should put the system then capable of creating a fresh clean restore point.

So do you continue with problems running the application to create the Recovery Disks?

I didn't realize I would need 6 disks though so I'll need to purchase more disks and then I can continue.

Good. Don't forget to make frequent Backups of your files because your Hard Disk can fail and you will lose your data.
Save or print this article Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7) you will need it when your HDD go down and needs to be replaced with a new one.
