Accidentally quick format HDD?

I have a 1TB, or 930 gb western digital external hard drive and i accidentally quick formatted it when i was trying to make a bootable usb drive

now it says 31.9/31.9 gb free and there are no file on it.

Is there anyway get my data back?? it was mainly my mp3s and old backups i need

you can try using testdisk; http://www.cgsecurit...g/wiki/TestDisk

there are quite a few programs that claim to be able to recover data from formatted drives, not sure how many you can trust.

i tried renuva, and it only found about 300 mp3's :wacko: . Thanks i will try testdisk next.
