I had same problem trying to access WAP3205 from my Mac PowerBook
I connected the PowerBook to the 3205 using standard patch cable
The Mac's ethernet IP address was assigned by DHCP to 192.168.1.105
Using System Preferences > Network > Built-In ethernet I changed IP addressing to manual mode and entered 192.168.1.3 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Now I can connect to the 3205's web configuration pages by entering 192.168.1.2 into my browser
Unfortunately, despite configuring the 3205 to Universal Extender (?Repeater) mode I cannot access the Internet from my iPad in the corner of my house which was not getting adequate signal strength from my wireless router.
I'm still looking for help

Hello meanddog,

zyxel 3205
default username: admin
default password: 1234
according to this link.

Since you reset your router, are you using these credentials?

johnsira,
Please start a new topic.
If you've already started one, and haven't received help yet, please bump it.

Thanks a lot for the heads up on using a static ip address and then trying 192.168.1.2 . That did the trick. The Zyxel WAP is now finally accessible. Hope you sorted your issues with the signal. I have way better reach now downstairs. The initial main router is upstairs and had a rather weak signal downstairs. Now that I have a WAP downstairs, things are way better.
