Star, Run, cmd, OK

regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\qmgr.dll

It should bring up a little window which says it was loaded but no entry point was found. Does it?

I'm attaching qmqr.dll from my xp to a separate post. Copy it to C:\ before running the following:

Copy the text in the code box by highlighting and Ctrl + c

:files
C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\qmgr.dll|C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\dllcache\qmgr.dll /replace

:reg
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BITS]

:Commands
[Reboot]

then run OTL and Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste (ctrl +v) the text. Verify that you got it all and Then click the Run Fix button at the top
Let the program run unhindered, OTL will reboot the PC when it is done.

Right click on bits.reg and merge it.

My XP has gone on strike so I have changed the previous post to use the qmgr.dll that is already on your system so go ahead and try it now. I've got to take a little nap so will be off line for an hour or two.

Now that it is gone, try to right click on bits.reg that I previously sent you and merge it. That should put it back.

You can live without it but you can't get any updates until it works so we do want to fix it.
