Copy the next 2 lines:

reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BITS /s > \junk.txt
reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_BITS >> \junk.txt

Start, Run, cmd, OK then right click and Paste or Edit paste and the copied lines should appear. Hit Enter.

notepad \junk.txt

Copy the text from notepad and paste it in a reply.

Seems to be there. Have you rebooted since you did the merge?

What error do you get when you try to start it with
net start bits

I just attached a file from my XP. Download, Save it and Right click on it and then move qmgr.dll to C:\

Then

Copy the text in the code box by highlighting and Ctrl + c

:files
C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\qmgr.dll|C:\qmgr.dll /replace

:Commands
[Reboot]

then run OTL and Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste (ctrl +v) the text. Verify that you got it all and Then click the Run Fix button at the top
Let the program run unhindered, OTL will reboot the PC when it is done.

regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS.0\system32\qmgr.dll

Start, run, cmd, OK and right click and Paste or Edit Paste and the copied line should appear. Hit enter.

Then try:

net start bits

The one you moved to C:\.

I can't type very well on the netbook so have to switch back and forth between the two.
