Unfortunately, no change.
Ran PCpitstop again so you could compare: http://pcpitstop.com...?conid=25078787
Kind of odd because I can't figure out how to delete those temporary files, disk cleanup isn't finding them. I re-changed the IE cache to 50 MB hopefully it stays!!

Please provide us with the brand and model name or number of the Router.

Couple of suggestions for you, for convenience do them in the following order, first create a restore point, stop after any step if the issue is resolved, remove both the ask toolbar and newsXpresso and any other add-ons that you do not use (see Firefox Safe Mode details below if needed).

Run http://java.com/en/d...&os_version=6.2

Try using Firefox in Firefox Safe Mode, a tutorial to help you if needed http://www.sevenforu...-safe-mode.html

Remove and then reinstall the recent updates;

Removing bad updates then reinstalling them
Go into Add\Remove Programs
Make sure to click the little box on the top that says Show All Updates
Remove one update at a time and see if there is any change.
If no change reinstall the update and move on to the next.

Good job dealing with the other issues BTW, we can deal with any remaining issues once the wireless connection is sorted.

(Sorry for some reason I only just saw your note about you preferring that I edit a post with extra info rather than creating a 2nd one - will do from now on!)

Thanks for all of your help :)

1 - d-link DIR-601 http://www.dlink.com...150-home-router
2 - create a restore point; done
3- Remove ask and Newsexpresso – from Programs in the control panel I don’t see either, I’ll make sure they aren’t still in firefox.
4- Java – my version is the latest
5- Started firefox in safe mode, went to the speed test…
I’m not sure if I should be happy or upset….the speed was amazing 
This means the issue must be with my firefox profiles or something, which I was objecting to changing!!

I apologize for that :P So I’m going to try to copy down the 2 profiles that I like to use, and see which one of them is problematic. I just find it so strange that they impact the connection I can get on other browsers too!!

WAIT WAIT – for fun I just went back to regular firefox mode, and it also worked!!!
So something else must have fixed it?? This is so strange!! Because if I look back on my steps here, nothing was changed, I just created a restore point. Any ideas what may have happened?? Bizarre bizarre. Will keep checking it tonight to see if anything changes?

Well I honestly cannot say for sure but at a guess possibly a bad browser setting.
I hope that it continues to work correctly for you and please let us know either way.
