just one last ?
in my control panes i have 6 or more "bluetooth devices" icons. i only have 1 oher bluetooth device (my iphone) so what's up with that?

Now for your 6 or so bluetooth icons, where exactly do you see them, in the Control Panel, or in the Device Manager, or somewhere else?
One of your great screen captures would be most helpful in this case.:cool:
Also, can you give me the model number or name for this computer, I believe you said it was some sort of a Dell Alienware, correct? Does it have any kind of a model number, or a Dell service tag maybe?

I am going to be real busy tomorrow (Tuesday) so I might not be able to reply to you until Wednesday.
