i bought a used computer which already has a windows xp professional on it ,nothing on the desktop executes without having to ask what program to open with also i get a lot of error reports with the ''send'' or ''dont send'' option...also there is alot of ''removable disk' icons in my computer and it runs ridiculously slow,all suggestions are welcome THANKS!!

Since you say that this is a used computer then create a new admin account.

Reboot and log into the new account then delete the default/old account and when asked to keep the files decline.
