Safe mode looks fine.

I'll have my wife play around with the computer when she gets home today. She'll be able to say better than I can if it's working better.

Thanks for all your help.

How about normal mode?
I think that you should still run a checkdisk.

Open an elevated command prompt and type chkdsk /r Hit enter then reply y when asked to schedule on next reboot.
Then reboot the machine let it run it may take a while to complete.

After the reboot then re-open an elevated command prompt and type sfc /scannow hit enter allow it to run then reboot your machine.

The log is too big to post, and the file size is too big to attach.

Upload it to filedropper.com You may need software such as 7zip.org to zip and send.

Is it still loading pages slow and un responsive?

It is a txt file. It's a whopping 1.05 mb so it can't be attached here:(

Here's the filedropper link though

Not much there that is the cbs log from sfc /scannow

How is the machine running as far as opening applications?

Download the windows all in one repair tool and run it with all the boxes checked except the bottom two just make a restore point prior to doing so.
http://www.tweaking....all_in_one.html

Run the tool as admin and after it runs reboot the machine a couple of times.
