Hello can you tell us what issues if any other than the one you described that you are having?

Also I would like you to run a checkdisk.

Hit the windows key and r at the same time then type cmd in the run box and hit enter.

When the Command window pops up then type chkdsk /r and hit enter then type y when asked to schedule on next reboot.
Then reboot your machine and allow checkdisk to run it may take some time this is normal allow it to finish..

After that then please provide the logs below in your next reply just as basic info on your machine.

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.
http://download.blee...MiniToolBox.exe

Checkmark following boxes:

Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)

Click Go and post the result.

Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

Well your java is out of date and I have some ideas on fixing a few of those errors in your event view logs.

I would like to get the results from the hard-drive test prior to continuing.

Also did you run the checkdisk as suggested and did it find any errors?

You also forgot one of the requested logs.

Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

you say i forgot to post one of the requested logs. i will look again as see if i missed something.

anything that you need just let me know. i am a little slow at computers and i am in and out allot with work.

thannks again. i will try and work some more and what you asked me to do. i will try and post something later today.

Well if the test said fail then I suggest that you start to back up your data and look into purchasing a new hard-drive they are really not that much money.
If you have anything that you want off of that machine then I suggest that you go ahead and get it now before it is too late.

One thing that you can do is re-seat the hard-drive which means to take it out and put it back in firmly and go ahead and test it again perhaps something has come loose maybe your machine got bumped some where down the line.
