bought used computer from a friend two weeks ago , worked fine till this morning when powered up. this screen appears immediatly after powering up and goes to start at normal then back again . should I just buy another hardrive for 40.00 and will I have to reinstall vista ? BTW it is a GATEWAY w350A

Hi and welcome,

I would definitely run a full backup now. If the drive is still working correctly, I would suggest making a backup image of the drive. Then replace it with a new drive and restore the image to the new drive. That way you won't have to go and reinstall everything from scratch.
