Hello,

I was directed here from google after searching solution to my problem, reading replies to various threads gave me the confidence to register and post here.

So heres the problem, whenever I try to access C:\Users\P098\Downloads\Programs my laptop hangs, even ALT+CTRL+DEL doesnt work. What is to be done to rectify it?

• Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows and programs are closed to let it run uninterrupted.
• Select All Users.
• Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
  C:\Users\P098\Downloads\Programs\*.*
• Click the button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  
• When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows: OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
• Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the content of OTL.Txt and paste it in your next post. Do the same for Extras.Txt.

However before trying you methods, I scheduled a chkdsk for C: drive, and its supposed to fix my problem. Here is the log.

Hi

Looks like your hard drive is having problems. Maybe you should start a topic here: http://www.geekstogo...d-peripherals/.
There an hardware expert can help you better than I can. I think you will have to replace the HDD.

If that's OK, I'll close the topic, and when your hard drive is fixed, and your still having problems then I'll reopen it
