Tried following some google tips to remove this with no success. Been paying attention to some of the suggestions here but have noticed there is no everyone fix and each user has own steps to remove it. So I have become the next user, here follows Hijackthis log.

This is a relativly "clean" install of programs and windows, if it would be easier I will just wipe and reload.

The problem with rdriv.sys will not be there after re-format. I hope you have Service Pack 2 installed before connecting to the internet otherwise you might end up with bigger problems than you started with.

I have service pack 2 on a cd rom. I have just finished installing and running norton and my drives are clean so I am proceeding with sp2 install. I had zonealarm running from the second I got online to prevent anything bad from getting in. Now with norton up I should be safe. Should being the key word

Make sure to either disable the XP firewall or the zonealarm firewall because running both will slow your system down. They also don't play well together at all. It's similar to having multiple anti-virus programs - it's not a good idea because it will do quite the opposite of protecting your system better.

Since you connected to the Internet prior to installing the Service Pack, I would advise posting a HiJackThis log into this topic to double-check. Norton not finding anything isn't reliable and only zonealarm running without the service pack isn't enough protection at all.

System seems stable now, I just removed McAfee, odd that you mentioned two virus programs because that's what I was running. Now only norton is on my machine. Guess I will feel safe with just running more ad ware programs. Those won't tack my system if run at different times will they?

The Ewido Security Suite download is a 2 week trial of the full version - which has real-time protection. After the 2 weeks is up, it will go to the freeware version that you can use as much as you want. If you enable Spybot Teatimer you will have real-time protection and spywareguard also has real-time protection. Ewido is awesome, even the freeware version (you just have to remember to run it lik Ad-Aware )

Have you tried any other firewalls before deciding to go with Zonealarm? If not, you might want to check out other options to see if you like something else better. Here are 2 other great (free) firewalls:
