Hi,
Sounds like a fab site and I am in dire need. Computer 1. won't shut down properly 2. Won't open .pdf files even though I have the latest Reader 3. Can't get rid of Plaxo 4. Won't fully launch MS Outlook 5. Is SLOOOOOOOOOOOW. Here is my Hijack This log. Sure could use the help...and thank you so much...

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

-RCTJ - Nope.....I meant :E arrrrrgh....when I installed XP it chose E for some reason and I guess I didn't catch it before the install started...I inquired about how to get it assigned to drive C but that was another whole nightmare for me so I just let it ride... I downloaded the Hijack This from Tom Coyote sight....thought it was the latest version....oh well....

Thanks for your replies....I am going to try to follow your directions and "Git 'er done'!
