Hi all. im returning back to my favourite site for those lil tech tips to help me

My issue is, my internet streaming is now becoming a little bit gerky and lagging, expescially when i wanna try and watch something on youtube, and quite honestly its pissing me right off!!! :tazz:

Downloading and internet speed isn't a problem as far as i know but hey, thats why i am here!

OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: AMD Athlon™ II X4 640 Processor, 3013MHz
Browser: Firefox
Network TCP/IP : Belkin F5D8053 N Wireless USB Adapter
Adapter Type: Ethernet 802.3
Connection speed: 72 Mbps

If any other information is requried i can supply with details

And if possible could someone also be so kind enough to tell me the best browser to use and what other requirements i'd need to surf safe and untraceable/noticeable?

Thank you heaps in advanced.

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.
http://download.blee...MiniToolBox.exe

Checkmark following boxes:

Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)

Click Go and Attach the result.

Download Autoruns and Autorunsc Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next http://download.sysi...es/Autoruns.zip reply.

When you have completed the task above then get me a fresh minitool box log so that I can confirm all the steps have been taken.

Also please so the below before posting the new minitool box log.
Open an elevated command prompt then copy and paste the following one at a time hitting enter after each.
Click on All Programs and Accessories, then right click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator.

cd C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

takeown /a /f hosts

cacls hosts /p everyone:f

Reply Y Then copy and paste the text below hitting enter after.

attrib -s -h -r hosts

Close the command prompt window.

Go here and run the fix it for the hosts file,as admin.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034

After the fix it runs then reboot, the hosts file should be restored to original

Once I have got the new minitool box log we will move onto unisntalling a few un-needed programs that may cause you some issues.

Then we will work on the autoruns log.

Open your copy of Ccleaner hit the tools button then the start up button then disable all the items from your start up except
Avast.

Open your device manager then scroll down to your ethernet driver right click it then select disable now reboot your machine.

Let me know when you have done this and have gotten the programs un-installed.Then we will move onto the autoruns.

Any difference in the streaming on youtube yet?
