My available ram indicated on my system is 3.39g,the ram on my graphics card is 1g.
My question is,is the 3.39g sytem ram inclusive of the 1g ram of the graphics card.
I am getting the out of memory message while running flight sim x with settings
in the game not all that high.I understand that 32 bit is limited on ram.
Would going to a 2g ram of memory on a different graphics card help
with available system memory.I have run the game on win 7 but with too
many problems with add ons,and never any problems with add ons in xp.
In xp I have a lot more FPS also compared to win 7.The only other option
I have considered was xp pro 64bit.A lot of folks say it is foolish to
use xp with all of the advantages of 7,and maybe so.All I can
say is it is a lot easier to use for some gaming. Thanks for any help folks.

I don't think a better graphics card with more memory will make much difference.

Windows XP X64 is problematical at best. I've seen very few positive reports on it and a lot of negative ones.

According to the specs for your board, it will take up to 32GB. I would recommend looking at Windows 8 X64 and bumping the ram up to 8GB for starters. You can get Windows 8 Pro X64 upgrade for $39. Set it up as a dual boot and play with it, see if you can get it to run the games you want. If yes, then buy the new ram. If not, you've only spent $39.

Win 8 will take some getting used to bu you can't beat the price. I have it setup sop it looks and feels like Windows 7, including the good old Start button.

Not sure how successful you will be gaming with it but worth a try.

Good luck. Let me know ho you make out.
