There were some adult icons that kept reappearing on the desktop but they have been rid off after some virus scans. Now, my homepage is still set to an adult site and the window randomly takes me to adult sites. Please help.

Here is the HiJack log.

Hi Thamnopis,

You have a Browser Hijacker on your PC. We will take care of it.

Please print these instructions or copy them into a text file and save it to your desktop.

1. Run Hijack This

Run Hijack This and click on Scan button. The following items need to be fixed -

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.specialgo...info/ad/ad0413/
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: Yahoo! Companion BHO - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Companion\Installs\cpn\ycomp5_5_7_0.dll (file missing)

Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

Reboot the PC in Safe Mode.

Locate and delete the file -
C:\Windows\System32\param.dll

Reboot the PC in normal mode.

2. Run Silent Runners

Download Silent Runners and save it to your Desktop.

Double click on Silent Runner.vbs file. You may have a few warnings pop up but let this program run. Save the log file for posting here.

Run Hijack This and click on Scan.

Post the Hijack This log and the Silent Runners log here. We can then verify that the infection has been completely removed.
