My HP Mobile Workstation (Windows XP) has been running very slowly; makes all icons, windows, and toolbar disappear when I designate "End Now" for one running program (this option presents itself to me as the computer begins to run very slowly - which is ALL the time now - and when a program does not respond); finally, when I turn my computer on (after most of the time NOT being able to shut down properly due to the start menu disappearing), I receive a "Check Disk" scanning screen (which scanned 100% and then froze; forcing me to shut down improperly again!) AND, once I'm FINALLY logged into my profile (the only profile on this laptop) I receive the following notification:
The instruction at “0x00403de4” referenced memory at “0x00000064”. The memory could not be “read”
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the programI have tried everything in my power to correct this problem and, now, I'm at a loss. I have run a full scan of my computer and did not come up with any viruses. I even paid $39.90 for this "ErrorEND" software that said it would help me with this problem; needless to say, it did not. Please help me? Before I go mad!
Thank you so much,
