I have an epson wf-3540 model printer. I cannot set it as a default printer. it gives me error message 0x00000709.

I did a few online searches on how to fix this and I have come up with nothing. It frustrates me because there is information out there, I just seem unable to use it. I have tried going in the registry as some articles, even windows, have suggested. however, I am unable to make some key changes and I am not sure why. Perhaps I am not changing them right.

Anyway, any help would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Have you uninstalled the printer, rebooted then reinstalled it?

Are you using it Wireless, Ethernet or USB connected?

it is a wirelesss connection.
I have not tried uninstalling/reinstalling as it is correctly installed. or at least it says it is.
Could windows still think there is another printer still set as default?
