Hi,

Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard will take ages at start up with Apple symbol and then produces a "no entry" sign.

Have run the Disk Utility program via the installation cd and repaired the disk - nothing changed

Then did the same and repaired permissions. Then went to repair after this and said it could not unmount disk.

When I tried to restart on the HD via quitting Disk Utility it came up with "the bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk"

Hopefully this makes sense to someone and they can help! Or is it a trip to the apple store?

Many thanks in advance,
mwal
