Downloaded torrent on phone, plays with sound on phone and lg tv, but

Hello guys, you lot seem like a knowledgeable bunch so I'm hoping you can help me out. You'll have to go easy on me though cos I'm new to all this tech stuff. I've had a good google but I just keep getting confused! I've recently got a HTC one x and because it doesn't have an sd slot and was struggling to get my tunes on it ! I got ttorrent off google play and I now have tunes...result, so I thought I'd try a movie. Movie successfully downloaded and plays well with sound on my LG tv, but when I wanted to put it on the kids Sony tv it looks good, but there is no sound! I've been through all the settings mute, volume etc but can't get the sound to work. Is there a way I can get this to work without using a computer to change files etc or is it the Sony software (can this be changed/modified). I'd be very grateful for any suggestions, thanks.
