Restoring windows with WIN restore

I had installed Comodo firewall and ran into a problem with other software. I uninstalled the software but was still having a problem so attempted to use Windows Restore. I get an error message no matter what date I choose. Is there a way around this?

Unfortunately, no. System Restore under XP was not very reliable unless you managed the restore points. I never kept more than 5 and often deleted all of then then created a new one. The few times I needed it, it worked.

A better solution is to start doing image backups to an external hard drive. That way recovery is only 20 minutes away, even if the hard drive dies.
