I have a few questions about upgrading memory. I have a DELL Dimension 4600 Series. It has 4 slots for memory. Currently I have 256MB (128 in DIMM1 and 2) I've seen that I can either use PC2700 or PC3200 memory for my machine

How do I determine the speed of the memory sticks I currently have?

Can I just buy 1 - 512MB stick and put it in DIMM3 or do I need to buy a second stick for DIMM4?

If I do need to buy 2 memory sticks, will it matter that I have 2 - 128MB sticks and 2 - 512MB sticks?

I know I have to pair them in "like" pairs but does it matter if I have the 512's as the first pair or the second pair?

Thanks in advance - Chad
