I have been receiving Aurora popups that I cannot seem to get rid of. I have used Nailfix, ewido, spybot, adaware, and highackthis. I have been using hijack this to get rid of the infected file, but it keeps reappearing when I restart my computer. I have posted the scan results that appear after I restart my computer. Thanks for the help.

Welcome fr0nder to Geeks to Go!

You are running HijackThis from its zipped archive; please create a new folder for it and unzip the program into it. It is very important you do this before anything else!

Open Ewido.
Update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

***

Download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

***

Please download Nailfix from here (we have a new one):
http://www.noidea.us...050515010747824
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

***

Download CleanUp!.
If that doesn’t work, use this link.
Double click the file cleanup.

Go to option
Select ‘custom’
Put a check to:* Cookies
* Prefetch
* Temp
* All users.
Press 'cleanup!'

Once it's done, press Close.

Let the system reboot to safe mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

For additional help in booting into Safe Mode, see the following site:
http://www.pchell.co.../safemode.shtml

***

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

***

Next please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0AD937E7-2F37-4873-A05E-548A67EF1D0E} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: FlashEnhancer Ext - {5EDB03AF-0341-4e96-9E9B-3171522E4BAF} - c:\Program Files\Fla\fla.dll

O2 - BHO: FlashEnhancer Extnder - {A749B4BC-7621-4a80-9220-D0A283367DD5} - c:\Program Files\Fln\fln.dll (file missing)

O3 - Toolbar: MBKWBar - {EA5A82FB-D6BE-44F9-9363-B1ABABC153C1} - C:\Program Files\MBKWBar\IEToolBar.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BPT] "C:\Program Files\Bpt\bpt.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BPCv2] C:\Program Files\bpc_search\BPCv2.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [FlaCPY] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\flacpy.exe"

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hrtjrm] c:\windows\system32\dhvqlvb.exe

O9 - Extra button: Ebates - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm (file missing) (HKCU)

Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

***

Use Windows Explorer to remove these folders:
C:\Program Files\bpc_search\
c:\Program Files\Fla\
c:\Program Files\Fln\
C:\Program Files\MBKWBar\
C:\Program Files\Bpt\

Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.

Select "Delete on Reboot".
Place the following line (complete path) in bold in the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\flacpy.exe
c:\windows\system32\dhvqlvb.exe
Put a mark next to "Delete on Reboot"
Copy and paste each file into the file name box, then click red-and-white "Delete File" button after each. It will ask you if you want to reboot each time you click it, answer NO until after you've pasted the last file name,
Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

Make sure the computer reboots to safe mode again.

***

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

***

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

EDIT:
As there has been no reply from the original poster for more than two weeks this topic is now closed.
