Hello all, I'm hoping you can help me.

As of today on my Mac (Lion 10.7.5) I've been experiencing the api.mybrowserbar.com browser redirect while browsing online using Chrome. It redirects me to a 404 page and the internet slows substantially.

I've been researching the redirect and discovered it's spyware. I've found detailed guides on how to manually delete it, but only for PCs. I've downloaded MacScan and ran an authenticated scan and the results say no spyware is detected, but I'm still experiencing the same issues.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to manually delete the spyware on a Mac, as unfortunately the only guides I've encountered are for PCs.

Any assistance would be appreciated and let me know what additional information I can provide (also please let me know if I'm posting in the wrong area and redirect me, I'm new to the site!).

Edit: apparently this is linked to the Vuze application, there's more information about this on the topic here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/chrome/O_DYMUmVaBE

However, still no word on how to remove it.
