pc wont start

hi, still can't get it to start, when we turn it on we get the ibm recovery screen so we go to full recovery and accept all the conditions then this comes up

The partition table is unrecognizable
Use FDISK to delete the partition

5 - The IBM product recovery program has stopped.
A:\>_

Hope this helps as this is as far as we have been able to get with it

during bootup- click and press the f8 key at the top numerous times after the bios loads up and wait for a menu to pop up...see if theres an option that says "back to last known good menu" click that and see if your computer can start up normal

Hi red sox, its win 98 and all i get in safe mode is
1. normal
2.logged ( \ boot log .txt)
3.safe mode
4.step by step confirmation
5.command prompt only
6.safe mode command prompt only

it seems to only want to start of the a drive, could our c drive be wiped?

hi soxrok,
when we try to start in safe mode it just goes to the screen that say's

the partition is unrecognizable
use fdisk to delete the partition

A:\>_

and thats as far as we seem to get

Looks like you have some serious corruption of your hard drive, either from a virus, or a dying hard drive. <_<

Did you recieve any restore CD's with your system? If so, you could try boot from them.
