Hey guys

I've just installed Lubuntu 12.10 onto a fairly old HP PC. Seems to be working okay (well I'm posting this on it so can't be that bad!!!)

Main issues I have are freezing when trying to watch my fave news outlet (RT online) which is basically streaming video. YouTube seems okay(ish) but not great (sometimes hangs for no apparent reason) and certainly not as good as when I first tried it out running it off the CD ROM before going for the full installation. Also can't seem to view other videos at all from one particular site (not telling which one!) which are in MP.4 format.

The only other issue I have is that sometimes the internet connection seems to go into melt down and nothing is getting in or out! This usually resolves itself eventually.

Being a refugee from Windows XP etc, I am more used to the sort of point and click solutions that tend to come as standard with that OS, so while not averse to learning the more hands on type approach that Linux demands, I haven't the first clue where to start!

Any advice would be gratefully received!

Thanks in advance
