Hi,

I was helped by Dakeyras in the Malware forum where he cleaned out all the Malware and now directed me to post here for additional help.

He said:

"OK as it stands I do not think malware is the root cause here now. I can see when problems have occurred as in the connection loss/freezing with the WiFi adapter but not completely sure if it is either driver and or hardware related to be perfectly honest. So my sincere apologies I have been unable to rectify the main issue.

Anyway since I primarily only provide Anti-Malware support my best advice now would be too seek further assistance with this matter via the excellent IT Support Techs we have here in Geeks to Go.

With this in mind after following my below advice create a new topic in this part of the forum:-

Hardware, Components and Peripherals

And name it say Wifi Adapter Issie for example and point out it is not actually a networking problem per-say. Also by all means if you so wish include a link back to this topic and mention I advised you seek further/specific assistance."

In summary, I am losing wifi connection randomly and other computers/devices have no problems with connection.

Thx,

MIke

Hi,

In summary, I am losing wifi connection randomly and other computers/devices in home have no problems with connection. Machine works fine when I plug it in by ethernet.

I have to click on troubleshooter in network connections, it resets network adapter, and sometimes that works, or not. Or I reboot machine, sometimes works or not. Or reboot wifi, sometimes works or not. Or just wait, it sometimes resets itself. All very random. Might work fine for a day ot two, than it starts losing wifi connection again.

Thx,

Mike
