Im posting this for my brother. He has a problem with his PC. (hes not home right now so I cant give u the speck, I will later tonight) We both got BF3, and on his pc (which is ok with suggested requirements) it would shut down after some gaming, most of the time when explosions took place. We found out his graphic card (nvidia gtx260, a bit old but works) has a stock speed fan of 40% and with a program (forgot the name) we could higher the speed, they suggested 80% and it fixed that problem. But unfortunately a new one arose, now through out the game every things fine, but when the game finishes and it shows the stats, and achievements , his pc restarts. we tried upping the fan to 90% but it didn't do anything. We looked in forums here and there but found nothing. Anyone have any suggestions, please help us out... (for anyone knowing about my probs the other day, after format no more problems )

What is the exact make and model of the machine?
It would be nice to See some MiniDump Files here as well as installed programs and the last ten event viewer logs.
Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.
http://download.blee...MiniToolBox.exe
Checkmark following boxes:
Flush DNS
List content of Hosts
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)
Click Go and post the result.
Please upload your minidump files as well.
http://h30434.www3.h...iles/m-p/253475
Download Autoruns and Autorunsc
http://download.sysi...es/Autoruns.zip
Unzip it to your desktop and then double click autoruns.exe After the scan is finished then click on File>>>>>>>>>>>Save The default name will be autoruns.arn make sure to save it as Autoruns.txt under the file type option. in other words make sure it is a .txt file instead of .arn Attach the text in your next reply.

hey rockmilk,
I think this is pretty weird... so my brother came home and we decited to play, after about 10 minutes the game finished and like always his pc just restareted (no dump file) so we decited to play again and as the game was finishing, he loged out, (game finished about 30 sec to 1 min after he loged out) and his pc didnt crash, so we continued playing. we were able to play 1 hour with out any prolem, as the game was finishing he logout cus tomorrow he works... I find it strange that if he logs out befor game end no crash, if he doesnt he crashes.... idk... im guessing if its a heat issue of the graphic card then after a long game it should crash not after 10 min.
i hope we could figure out what it is cus its really annoying.
again thanks for all your help

So I downloaded Mzgame and accelerator.. good news and bad news.. The good news is the computer didnt crash at the end of the game! The bad news is that this program causes battlefield to lag, during the game there are ups and downs, it works normally for about 30 seconds, then it lags for 30 seconds.. I'm going to try again later on..

For now lets install Service Pack one and then update the Graphics card driver and remove AVG from the machine and replace it with Avast.
SP1 update here. http://download.micr...B976932-X64.exe
Link above sourced from here.
http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5842
Go here and see if there is an update for the Graphics driver.
http://www.nvidia.co...nload/Scan.aspx
Download Ccleaner but stay away from the registry cleaner do not use that!!!!
Hit the tools button then the start up button and disable all items except you antivirus.
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Open your add remove programs un install AVG then reboot.
Then run the AVG removal tool you need the 64 bit version.
