I consolidated my iTunes Library from an external drive (K)to another external drive (L). When I try to play iTunes with the new external drive(L) not on and the original external drive (K)indicated in Preferences, Advanced, iTunes Media Folder Location K:My Music - all of the songs are listed but most of the songs are not found and will not play. When I plug in the (L) external hard drive all songs are now available to play. Can someone give me insight as to what is going on please? My Music file is 80mB and 18,000+ songs and I am afraid of losing every thing! Help and Thanks!

ok, if you open itunes and then go to Edit/Preferences menu. Under that go to the advanced settings tab. It should look something like this:
C:\Users\starjax\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media

just click change and browse to your new iTunes library location.

I found an article that you might find worth reading. A bit long, but full of info: http://www.ilounge.c...new-hard-drive/
