last night i was downloading a free you tube downloader and when it was finished superantivirus said i had a trojan. i was able to remove the trojan with the antivirus software and malware bytes removed other problems but i ended up with some other unwanted progams that i tried removing from the add/remove list but it didn't completely remove this program called "free ride games". it is not listed in the add/remove programs list but it still has left a white box on my desktop and task bar section. how do i remove this from my desktop and task bar? when i right click the empty icon at the task bar it will not allow me to close the program. thank you for any help that can be provided.

I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found HERE. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

OK thanks and this topic will remain open in case they determine the issue is not malware related for you to return to. Good luck and thank you for understanding.
